We are recruiting a Corporate Secretary to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about compliance and corporate law or eager to explore this field. They should have a strong administrative background and be open to new challenges. A genuine interest in the role is crucial, as the candidate will be responsible for managing daily administrative tasks, providing secretarial support, and assisting the legal department.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Assist with essential administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation, including organizing Board Meetings and supporting Directors and the Annual General Meeting.
- Share Management: Coordinate with the Malta Stock Exchange on company share-related matters, such as invoice monitoring, transfers, donations, and maintaining accurate shareholder records and data.
- Communication and Correspondence: Handle inquiries and correspondence from shareholders and their legal representatives, liaise with the Malta Business Registry (MBR) and manage files related to deceased shareholders and estate partitions.
- Legal and Foundation Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Company Lawyer(s), including debtor follow-up and documentation, and support the Foundation’s activities as needed.
Educational and skill requirements
- Must have at least an A-Level qualification or a diploma in a relevant field.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Be ICT proficient.
- Able to work independently and thrive in a team environment.
- Possess excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach.
- At least a basic understanding of the Maltese language.
Gross Annual Salary between €25,000 and €26,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
