Waiter

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the wait staff in providing a seamless service experience to each customer.
• Collaborate with the wait staff to ensure tables are picked up and cleared on time and available for the next customer.
• Assist wait staff in arranging tables for large groups and have them set up in accordance with company SOPs.
• Monitor tables and alert waiters if customers’ drinks need to be refilled.
• Prepare and serve bread and condiment baskets.
• Assist waiters in serving food and drinks to customers if necessary.
• Clean and polish silverware and take care of refilling sugar bowls, toothpick holders and other items as needed.
• Remove all soiled items from customers’ tables and take them to the wash-up area.
• Keep booths stocked with necessary items.
• Assist in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the Restaurant.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements and skills

• Experience in a similar position for a minimum of 1 year.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and in a team.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to maintain high energy levels for long periods of time.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts
